Even before we became separate independent nations, cricket was a unifying force throughout the Caribbean; it is only fitting that there should be one anthem created by our own Caribbean artistes which will serve to unite and inspire our tem and the vast array of supporters.
A West Indian identity is defined by more than just cricket, even though cricket is one of the most important expressions of this identity. Unfortunately, there has never been any other vehicle through which this very unique West Indian identity is carried.
